Most of these dissertatons are located on the ProQuest website. UCSD faculty, staff, and students can obtain a copy of the full dissertation from ProQuest without cost, but only if they access ProQuest from a UCSD IP number. You can either be physically on campus or you can use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection when off-campus. If you don't do either, ProQuest will request that you pay for a full copy.
