We at the Educational Leadership Program are very proud indeed of the work that is being generated during the course of study here.  It is time to celebrate the wonderful accomplishments of students and graduates!

To that end, here is a listing of events, presentation and publications that our students and graduates are involved with.  Many of our Leaders are going to be presenting this year at AERA 2008 and it is our hope that you stop by and listen to their presentation while you are at the conference.  They have prepared some amazing work and you will enjoy the presentations.

Edublogging: Instruction for the Digital Age Learner

By Jeffrey P. Felix, Ed. D.

The research on blogging as an instructional practice has become quite

popular among blogging educators. It is being offered without charge on the

Internet and has created a great deal of conversation among those interested

teachers. They are using it to add validity to their existing practice and

new teachers are hopefully using it to convince their administrators of the

value in beginning the practice. I have found it being talked about by

educators located on four different continents.

AWARDS

AASA Scholarships Awarded

Six of the nation's outstanding graduate students in educational administration have been selected by the American Association of School Administrators to receive $2,000 scholarships during AASA's 2008 National Conference on Education in Tampa, Fla., Feb. 14-17.

AASA, sponsor of the yearly scholarship awards, selects recipients on the basis of their experience and excellence in school administration, personal essays about their qualifications, and recommendations from university faculty, including the dean of the graduate school in which they are enrolled. Each scholarship is named in honor of a former AASA executive director.
